Here you will find links to articles (below) about our history and information about the tracks. More will be added as soon as it becomes available.

Part two is further down.

The Canvey Island Miniature Railway has two separate tracks for our members and the public to ride on. The oldest track is a raised 5 inch & 3 1/2 inch gauge track that was constructed in the 1970s. It  is approximately 460 meters (1500 feet) in length; when we open to the public we take the public round the raised circuit twice.

The ground level track was constructed in the late 1990s. The track is a 7 1/4 inch & 5 inch gauge. The ground level track has a signal box, pneumatically operated points & signalling, a bridge over water, turntables, loading bays and a carriage shed. The ground level track has an outer and inner circuit, when we are open to the public we go round both the outer and inner tracks. The total length of all the ground level track, that's all running lines including sidings which is approximately just under 1600 meters (1 mile) in length.
